If you think that getting married in the beauty of nature is a dream, think again! Planning your National Park elopement is easier than you think, and well within your reach.

1. Choosing Your National Park

Choosing the National park you’d like to elope at can set the tone for your day. Dreaming of all the twilight vibes? Olympic National Park may be calling your name. More in to stunning pines and glacial lakes? Glacier National Park may be the park for you! There are truly endless options for you to choose from. 2. Choose when you’d like to elope

Choosing the time of year you’d like to elope can determine the vibe of your day.

Are you eloping in the park’s busiest season?

Will it be warm or snowy?

What time will sunrise/sunset be this time of year?

Considering these factors ahead of time will help alleviate any stress & ensure your day is stress free, beautiful, and the adventure you deserve.

3. Apply for any necessary permits required by the park.

If you’re choosing a National Park Elopement, you’ll likely need to apply for a Special Use Permit. The fee for this can range anywhere from $75-$500 dollars, depending on which park you choose! Some parks have applications

If you’re having a professional photographer capture your elopement, you may need a Commerical Use Permit – whether or not you need this depends on the specific park you’re eloping at. Connect with your photographer to ensure that you have all the permits you need!

4. Plan Extra Time

Depending on the time of year you’re eloping, you may want to plan extra time to accommodate for things like traffic and tourists. The best way to do this is to book an elopement package that’s all inclusive/full day coverage. This allows you to get all those stunning pics without the stress of eating up your time stuck in traffic!

5. Prioritize activities that are centered around what YOU like to do!

The BIGGEST perk of eloping is that you get to customize the day to be exactly what you want – helloooo pizza on the beach, kayaking through a glacial lake, or a whale watching tour. National park elopement does NOT equal long days of hiking in pretty clothes (unless you want it to!) You can do whatever you like – that’s the beauty of it being your day.

Planning your National Park Elopement should be dreamy and stress free – so sit back, relax, and enjoy the process. Soon enough, you’ll be enjoying the views!
